Our Mission Partner: Vine and Village Teen Mops in Little Rock, Arkansas
Our Mission Partner: What That Means
From the beginning of my dream to hold the Pray Fierce Conference this year, I have desired to sponsor a non-profit mission as part of the conference. I was delighted to realize that our own Tricia Goyer (one of the speakers today!) has a teen moms support group funded by her church's non-profit called Vine and Village.
You can read Tricia's testimony here. I am so glad she is willing to speak life into the hearts of these teen moms!
A portion of my (Mom Fierce) profits will be donated to this very worthy cause.
Vine and Village Non Profit: Teen Mops group
Mission
Teen MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) provides a faith-based, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where teen mothers can come together with others who are in a similar life situation. Through the relationships formed at Teen MOPS, young moms gain confidence, learn about mothering, and achieve personal growth.
Services Offered
Teen MOPS is a weekly support group for teen mothers up to age 20. We meet during the school year. At every meeting, we provide a meal, a fun activity, a devotional time and a speaker or lifeskill. We also have a MOPS Store were moms can get baby clothes, furniture and diapers for their babies. Mentors available for teen dads who’d like to attend the meetings too!
